College Football Spreads
to only have to pay straight money. It’s a much better way to make and take bets. It gives the underdog some points before the game starts, a slight advantage, you could say. In reality, it’s a sort of handicap allowing the gambler to take the underdog to win with a few extra points. The underdog may lose the game but if they lose by fewer points than the team was given, the gambler wins the bet.

The point spread system is based on the strengths and weak points of both teams. The spread makers put all this information together and play the whole game out on paper. They then decide a clear-cut winner and figure out a set number that team will win by. When there is no clear-cut winner, they leave the game at a “pick ‘em”. A pick ‘em allows the gambler to pick a winner and that’s all. They won’t have to cover any spread; they’ll only have to win the game. Pick ‘ems can be difficult. If the experts can’t figure out a winner, how are you supposed to? Pick ‘ems are intriguing but extremely difficult to call right so try to steer clear of them if at all possible. You won’t have to worry much about pick ‘ems. You’ll only see them a few times during the season.

College football spreads can be hard to judge at times, especially with the lack of talent some schools have. Teams can sometimes run away with the game in the first five minutes. Let’s just hope your money is on the right side of the field.
